Why Kappa Alpha?
Kappa Alpha Order was founded in 1865 and is one of the three fraternities in the Lexington triad. Kappa Alpha has been creating generations of strong men from every chapter as far back as the Alpha chapter at Washington & Lee college to now the brand-new Wyoming Provisional Chapter. This has strengthened our bonds with everyone and allows us to watch our growth as people and as brothers. Kappa Alpha prepares each and every brother for the life ahead of them and teaches us how to become gentlemen through acts of philanthropy, community service, and brotherhood. These acts teach us our core values of leadership, brotherhood, gentility, knowledge, excellence, and reverence. Joining Kappa Alpha will be a great step in a positive future for anyone.

Philanthropy
Independence Fund
Established in 2007, the Independence Fund is a program geared towards serving the military and service communities. The Independence fund is geared towards cultivating the mental and physical health of any active servicemembers, veterans, caregivers, families, and allies that served. The Kappa Alpha Order has proudly been supporting the Independence Fund since 2016, where they have been raised over $500k and counting. These student-led fundraisers have raised enough money to buy several disabled veterans TrackChairs.
Whats Next?
Kappa Alpha--Wyoming is very excited to start their philanthropic events. So far Kappa Alpha-Wyoming has paired with Vitalant for their first philanthropic event as a chapter. The brothers of KA are looking forward to hosting another blood drive, as well as pairing up with other charities. The Independence Fund is the national Philanthropy of KA, but Kappa Alpha-Wyoming is able to have local sponsors as well. Be on the lookout for any future philanthropic events, as Kappa Alpha-Wyoming is just getting started.
